Bai Ling: Not a Fashion Worst
My goal today is simple: to prove to you that actress Bai Ling does not deserve to make any “worst dressed of 2007″ lists (and to encourage you to vote for me in Project Blog).
It’s been said of the 37-year-old, Chinese star that she’ll wear what she wants, she is who she is, and that nobody can change her style. But it has also been said (more often than not) that somebody should step in and try.
I disagree. Check out these 14 eye-catching, self-styled outfits that Bai Ling wore over the course of 2007.
Before you quickly judge, take note:
1. There is not one nipple, crotch, or other “no-no spot” slip.
2. Clearly, she has fun - in her poses and through her clothing. It’s apparent to me that she is not boring and that she enjoys fashion.
3. Although she is oft scantily clad, she doesn’t bear the goodies all the time. Besides, she has quite the body!
4. This chickadee sometimes stops at three or four parties in one night, but do you see her sloppy drunk, falling down, makeup running, …
5. Don’t forget that she is from China. Ever seen an Asian teen girl dressed anime-style? Giant ponytails, little girl accessories, bright colors, candy jewelry?
Have I convinced you yet that she shouldn’t make any worst dressed lists? Well, how about the fact that she made it through 2007 without a DUI, without getting pregnant, without shaving her head, without …

I think that she looks great in those photos (except for the white one with the belt). I usually only see pictures of her looking bad, so I appreciate these pics.

I agree she shouldn’t make any “worst dressed” lists…especially with Britney Spears still on the loose.
Cool slide show.

Way to be tech-savvy with the photos, Sally! Not to mention, you did a great job making the case for Bai Ling’s better (but less known) fashion choices.

Hi Sally:
Found you through Project Blog. I enjoyed reading this post and I totally agree with you. Bai Ling obviously has her own style, a good one too. She also has very good work ethics, unlike some other stars who behaved terribly, both personally & professionally.
