Fran Drescher’s Looking Great and Feeling Fine
I’m no “Nanny”-fan but I lost my mother this past January to breast cancer, and so this is a big steaming pile of AWESOME for me, with a huge bow of GO, GIRL! on top.
Fran Drescher celebrated her seventh year cancer-free and the launch of her “Cancer Schmancer” (heh) movement last night at trendy Sapa restaurant in New York. Drescher was diagnosed with uterine cancer in 2000, but she was one of the lucky ones - it was caught in Stage 1, early enough that surgery did the trick (no chemo, no radiation).
I’m very happy for her - and think she looks freakin’ awesome for any age.
Maura, on the other hand - don’t get me wrong, she’s lovely. But - jeans? I don’t know. I think if a friend of any degree of closeness held a party to celebrate being cancer free I would doll up in the most festive outfit I could find, in honor of that friend. But maybe I’m being too hard - what do you guys think?
