I Like OTHER Small And Sparkly Things
I am addicted to roomy totes. I don’t know how much room I think I need, but it seems to be a lot. I have a big shoulder bag for every conceivable occasion, and then some.
This must be why I often come up short when dressing for an evening out. I never seem to be drawn to clutches, despite the fact that I go out a lot and am constantly going “Crap! I don’t have a bag for this outfit!” I have a black-leather-and-brass envelope clutch that I bought in Australia, and a beaded green silk one, and a sort of casual leather-and-wood one, and that’s about it.
Celebrities, on the other hand, seem to have gabillions of perfect little evening bags. Here, a look at some of the best!

Let’s put aside the fact that Lindsay looks both evil and drugged in this picture, and focus on the cuteness that is her Rachel Zoe-designed Judith Leiber clutch. I love the exoticness (is that a word?) of this clutch, covered in Austrian crystals.
I couldn’t find a place to buy this Chloe Beaded Raindrops bag online, unfortunately, but I couldn’t let that stop me from putting it in this list. I love how it adds a touch of exoticness (there’s that non-word again), a touch of safari chic, to a basic jewel-tone dress.
Hopefully these beautiful little bags will inspire me to stop buying ginormous totes for day, and invest in something small and sparkly for night.
