Retailers Make Donations Despite Struggling Market
Retailers are trying everything to hold it together financially - sales, promos, bigger and brighter ads, giveaways, clearances, free shipping online … you name it. And with Black Friday, a major shopping day, coming up they’ve kicked it up another notch.

Now, retailers, such as these two examples, are offering up a portion of their profit to charities.
* ALDO has partnered with YouthAIDS to create ALDO Fights AIDS. Together, they will celebrate World AIDS Day December 1 with the “Love for Life” Limited Edition Bracelet. All proceeds from the $5 bracelets will be donated to fight AIDS. Since opening its doors, ALDO has donated more than $10 million to AIDS causes.
* Target donated $1 million to the Salvation Army to revitalize the organization’s libraries, media centers, and educational facilities across the country.
Good deals for the shoppers, money being donated to charity, and increase in sales for the retailers: it’s a triple win situation!
