Wrong On Every Level That There Is

I think I’ve mentioned my all-consuming hatred of skinny jeans before. . .in fact, I’m pretty sure the little blurb on the right of your screen that says “About Laura” or somesuch thing includes the line “she’s pretty sure skinny jeans came back in to style just to piss her off.”

And it’s true. I have this feeling. . .it’s maybe a little paranoid of me, but ONLY A LITTLE. . .that whoever is pulling the strings in the fashion universe decided that Fall 2006 was a good time to f#*k with my head.

I mean, look at this:
Jamie Lynn Sigler

and this, and this:
Mary-Kate Olsen and Lindsay Lohan

I DON’T GET IT. All that tapering makes hips and booties look bigger by comparison, and we’re talking about girls who are only one good sandwich away from being actual skeletons. And maybe this is just me, but I’ve never felt like having feet the size of Viking longboats was a good thing.

So, ladies, do your hips and booties and feet a favor, and JUST SAY NO.
